Text Giving Program – Consent & Terms

How text-to-give works and how we handle your consent

Program Description

Churches and ministries using Storehouse Plus may offer a Text Giving service. This allows supporters to make donations by sending a text message containing an amount and an optional fund/category (for example: 50 Tithe or 100 Missions) to the church’s dedicated phone number.

When you text the church’s number, you are interacting with an automated system that processes your gift and may send you confirmation and receipt messages.

How Opt-In Works

You provide consent to receive messages in one of the following ways:

  • Initiating a text – By texting an amount (and optional keyword) to the church’s published Text Giving number, you are opting in to receive transactional messages related to that gift.
  • Online form or website – Checking a clearly labeled consent box on a church website, giving form, or registration page that references this Text Giving program.
  • Verbal / in-person – Providing your mobile number to church staff and agreeing to receive text messages about giving, with confirmation recorded by the church.
Important: Message frequency varies. You will typically receive 1–3 messages per donation (confirmation, receipt, and occasional follow-up if needed). Message and data rates may apply.

Example Interaction

You: 50 Tithe
Church: Thank you! Confirm your $50 gift to Tithe: [secure link]

After payment:
Church: Thank you! Your $50 gift to Tithe has been received.

What Messages You May Receive

  • Donation confirmation and payment link (first-time or when needed)
  • Gift receipt / thank-you message
  • Recurring gift confirmation (if you choose to set up recurring giving via text)
  • Occasional service-related notices about your text-giving enrollment (rare)

We do not use this program for marketing or promotional blasts unless you separately opt in to those communications.

How to Opt Out
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to the church’s Text Giving number. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation and you will no longer receive messages from that number. For help, text HELP or contact the church directly.

Privacy & Data

Your phone number and donation details are used solely to process and confirm your gifts and to maintain records required for financial and tax purposes. We do not sell your information. For full details, please see the Privacy Policy of the specific church you are giving to, as well as the Storehouse Plus platform privacy practices.

Supported Carriers & Rates

The Text Giving program is designed to work with major U.S. carriers. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
